IBTIHAL AMIN

Quality Assurance Specialist and Technical Office Member, EDA

Ibtihal graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University in 2009. She then pursued her Masters degree in Microbiology and Immunology and successfully defended her thesis in 2016. She is working on the investigation of the effect of the gut microbiota on the immune response of vaccines under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdelmagid, Dr. Marwa Elrakaiby and myself.

MARINA REFAAT

Teaching Assistant, FOPCU

Marina graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Cairo University (2019) ranking the 10th of her class. She was then appointed as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the same faculty. Marina started her work on the biotransformation of toxic environmental pollutants using recombinant oxidative enzymes under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nayera Mounib, Associate Prof. Marwa Elrakaiby and myself.

MOHAB GAMAL

Assistant Lecturer, MIU

Mohab graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University in 2014. He took his Masters degree from Al-Azhar University and is currently working as an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy Misr International University (MIU) in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. He is working on designing and expressing enzyme fusions to be used to catalyze industrially important bioconversions. His supervision team is composed of Dr. Omneya Helmy (FOPCU), Dr. Khaled Samir (MIU) and myself.

LAMIAA IBRAHIM

Teaching Assistant, FOPCU

Lamiaa graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University as one of the top 5% of her class. She then went on to work as a teaching assistant in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the same faculty. Currently she is doing her masters on locating crAssphages in sewage and fecal samples in Egypt. She is supervised by Prof. Dr. Hamdallah Zedan, Dr. Marwa Elrakaiby and myself.

SHAIMAA TAREK

Pharmacist, MOH

Shaimaa Tarek is a Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University graduate (2014) that went on to do a Clinical Pharmacy Diploma from Ain Shams University. She also has an MBA in hospital management. Shaimaa started her career as a clinical pharmacist at the Children's Cancer Hospital and also has a 1 year experience working in Nile Badrawy Hospital. Shaimaa is doing her masters degree on discovering new DyP-type peroxidases from environmental samples. Her supervisors are Dr. Marwa Elrakaiby and myself.

OMAR HASSAN

Assistant Lecturer, ERU

Omar graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 2014 in the top 5% of his class. He is currently working as an assistant lecturer at the Microbiology and Immunology Department, Egyptian Russian University (ERU). He earned his masters degree in early 2023 from Cairo University. He has an article published entitled "Computer-Based Identification of Potential Druggable Targets in Multidrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii: A Combined In Silico, In Vitro and In Vivo Study". Omar is working on locating and characterizing DyP-peroxidases through gene-mining in his PhD project funded by a STDF grant. He is supervised by Dr. Marwa Elrakaiby, Dr. Tharwat Elkhamissy and myself.
